If you’re in around late August, Bokeška Noć (Boka Night) is the one local event you shouldn’t miss.
It’s an iconic summer tradition where the Bay of Kotor basically turns into a floating night carnival 😍
Local crews spend months secretly building handmade, themed parade floats on small boats and barges.
At nightfall, the decorated boats float along the waterfront, competing for the best design.
Once a winner is picked, a huge fireworks display goes off over the fortress and the bay.
Afterward, everyone heads straight into the Old Town squares for open-air concerts, drinks, and dancing until late.
Pro tip from us, grab a spot along the Riva early if you actually want a clear view of the water parade! 🎆⛵️
