Most people walk one loop around Black Lake and call it a day. Our guests also biked a part of it.🫶🏻

Through pine forest trails above Durmitor’s glacial waters, through the National Park path and down to a waterfall that only exists in May, created by snowmelt from peaks that top 2,000m. By June, it’s gone.

This is our Black Lake custom day, built around Čeline waterfall while it’s still roaring.

Here’s what it looks like:

🚲 Bike the forest trail from Žabljak through the UNESCO national park to Black Lake
🏔️ Hike along the Black Lake shoreline with Međed peak as your backdrop
💧 Reach Čeline waterfall, a seasonal one that appears only as the mountain snow melts
🌿 End with a picnic in wildflower meadows while the north of Montenegro looks absolutely sublime

One small country, so many different ways to celebrate 🇲🇪✨

From fireworks over the coast to crowded city squares, music echoing through the streets, flags hanging from balconies, and people staying out just a little longer than usual, this is what 20 years of independence looked like across Montenegro.

Every city celebrated differently. Some louder, some calmer, some filled with concerts and crowds, others with familiar faces gathering in the same places they always do. But somehow, they all shared the same feeling.❤️
