This week we participated in the workshop in Riga on a gathering focused on promoting sustainable and innovative ways of doing tourism, with nature and community at the heart of it all. 🌿

We were invited to take part in this inspiring event as recipients of a grant for an innovative project we’ll soon be bringing to life on our estate — a project rooted in preserving nature, supporting the local community, and offering travelers a more conscious, grounded experience.

The main focus was clear: how can we care for nature through tourism, not in spite of it? How can we protect the places we love, while still welcoming others to experience them meaningfully and respectfully?

As part of the study visit, we visited several tourist accommodations that take an innovative approach to sustainability. We saw great examples of how smart design and working with local communities can make tourism more responsible and inspiring.

We’re leaving with fresh inspiration and a deepened belief that tourism can be slower, more intentional, and truly regenerative. 🪷
