In a corner of the Indian Ocean, a unique tradition brings together the living and the dead. The living go to meet their ancestors, who emerge from their final resting places๐Ÿชฆ to reconnect with family still here.

This ceremony is called Famadihana, or the Turning of the Bonesโšฐ๏ธ. Celebrated every five to seven years, it is one of Madagascar's most important cultural events.
