🇲🇬Nepenthes madagascariensis and Nepenthes masoalensis 🇲🇬

Nepenthes is a group of related species of carnivorous plants which mainly feed on insects and other small invertebrates.
These plants have a liquid that attracts insects, once an insect enters, it gets trapped inside the pitcher. Over time, the insect is dissolved by the acidic liquid, providing essential nutrients the plant needs.

💡In Madagascar, two specific species are mostly found in the eastern wetlands :
🟢Nepenthes madagascariensis
🟢Nepenthes masoalensis.

Nepenthes madagascariensis is one of the "target species" during a tour in Akanin'ny Nofy.
