French-born Laurence has lived in Madagascar for over 20 years. Originally trained as a lawyer, she is passionate about responsible travel and committed to ensuring tourism genuinely benefits both local communities and the environment. This isn’t just part of her work, it’s something she lives and breathes, and it sits at the very heart of Tamàna.

Laurence leads Tamàna’s overall operations, going above and beyond to ensure everything runs seamlessly. From overseeing day-to-day activities to shaping the company’s long-term strategy, she is dedicated to delivering outstanding experiences!

In her spare time Laurence’s true passion is hiking and getting outdoors. Last year she completed the Camino de Santiago in Spain, fulfilling a lifelong dream to undertake this epic walk.

This award is a recognition of our excellence towards social and environmental sustainability. We comply with more than 200 criteria related to sustainability management, office operations, working with suppliers, and customer communication.
Travelife is a three-stage certification program for tour operators and travel agents: (1) Travelife Engaged; (2) Travelife Partner; and (3) Travelife Certified.
