THE BEAUTIFUL ST.JOAKIM OSOGOVSKI MONASTERY
The monastery of St. Joakim Osogovski is located in beautiful nature on the slopes of the Osogovo Mountains, only 3 km away from the town of Kriva Palanka, close to the road leading from Kriva Palanka to Kyustendil in Bulgaria. The monastery church was built in the 14th century. The church has 12 domes and a spacious nave surrounded by a porch on the west and south side and is painted by Macedonian painters. The monastery has a rich history and today is one of the best preserved, most tidy, most beautiful and most visited in Macedonia. In the monastery there are several lodgings for accommodation of guests.
