Travel really is a game of snakes and ladders… and this was one big slide 🐍🎲

Denied entry into Serbia meant turning around, heading back to Pristina… regrouping… then crossing back into North Macedonia just to catch a flight up to Belgrade.

Not exactly how we planned it 😅

But that’s travel. Sometimes you climb fast… sometimes you slide all the way back down and have to find another path.

What matters is you keep moving.

And in the end… we still made it to Belgrade.

Not every travel day goes your way… and this one was tough 🇽🇰➡️🇷🇸

We set off from Pristina heading into Serbia… but things didn’t go to plan.

Denied entry at the border. No way through. Just like that, the day flipped.

It was frustrating, exhausting, and one of those moments where you question everything… but that’s travel too. The highs are incredible, but the hard days are real.

You regroup, reset, and keep moving.

Looking back… it’s part of the story.

Some places just catch you completely off guard… and this was one of them 🇽🇰✨

Our day in Prizren was something special. Cobbled streets, mountain backdrops, incredible food, and a vibe that just felt… easy.

This is one of those hidden gems you don’t hear enough about.
No crowds, no rush… just a place you can slow down and actually enjoy.

And once again, it’s the people that made it. Friendly, welcoming, and genuinely proud to share their city.

If you’re looking for somewhere different in Europe… don’t overlook Kosovo.

10 years ago today… and this memory still hits just as hard 🇪🇬✨

Standing face to face with the mighty Great Sphinx of Giza and the towering Pyramids of Giza felt surreal. One of those moments where history isn’t just something you read about… it’s right there in front of you.

We were younger, a bit more energetic… but just as curious. Walking through the desert, soaking it all in, trying to grasp how something built thousands of years ago still leaves you speechless.

Travel has a funny way of doing that. It freezes moments in time, then brings them back when you least expect it.

10 years on… still grateful we said yes to the adventure.

They really love cheese in Skopje 🧀😄
And we mean love it. Cheese with breakfast, cheese baked into pastries, cheese crumbled over salads, grilled cheese, soft cheese, salty cheese. Total cheese overload and we are not complaining.
Cheese has been part of Balkan food culture for centuries, especially in North Macedonia where sheep and goats were traditionally raised in the mountains. Many local cheeses are made from sheep or mixed milk, aged naturally and designed to last through long winters. It is simple food, made from what people had, and it stuck.
Today you still see that history on the plate. Fresh white cheeses similar to feta, creamy spreads, and rich baked dishes where cheese is the star, not the side.
Skopje food is honest, hearty and deeply rooted in tradition.

In this vlog, we explore downtown Skopje, wandering through Macedonia Square, the Stone Bridge, where East meets West in the most unexpected way. From quirky architecture to street food, this place truly surprised us!
