While trekking deep in Myanmar, we stumbled upon a small local ceremony—the kind you'd never find on any map. The villagers didn't hesitate. They invited us first to eat then to sing, to dance, to become part of their moment. And that's when magic happened. My beautiful guests let go —laughing, spinning, singing like they'd known the rhythm their whole lives. You should have seen the faces of the locals. Pure joy. And my guests? They were glowing—dancing, singing in the middle of stunning nature, feeling truly alive. For me as a guide, moments like this are everything. Watching two different worlds meet not as strangers, but as friends. That energy? Unforgettable. This is why I like to guide. This is what I want you to feel too.

In Myanmar culture, we can walk into any ceremony — even a funeral — without an invitation. If music is playing loud, that means there's a festival. And we have so many festivals here. Before every trek, I always ask the villagers if any festival is coming up, and then I ask my guests if they'd like to see. I truly believe experiencing a local festival is the best way to understand our culture. I've been to hundreds of festivals with my guests — including funerals — and every single time, the locals are so happy we joined them. My guests are often shocked at first, worried they might intrude. But that's not our way. In Myanmar, at every festival, everyone is invited — even strangers. And that's something I'm deeply proud of.
