Pilot Andy Davey ဟာ Balloons Over Bagan မှာ Pilot တစ်ဦးအဖြစ်သာမက Maintenance Engineer ဌာနကို ဦးဆောင်နေသူလည်း ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။

၁၉၈၆ ခုနှစ်မှာ အသက် ၂၀ အရွယ်သာ ရှိသေးတဲ့ Andy ဟာ မီးပုံးပျံ ပျံသန်းမှု လုပ်ငန်းနယ်ပယ်အတွင်း သူရဲ့ အသက်မွေးဝမ်းကျောင်းမှုကို UK နိုင်ငံ Bristol မြို့ရှိ Cameron Balloons နဲ့အတူ အစပြုခဲ့ပါတယ်။ သူဟာ စက်မဲ့ယာဥ်ပျံများကို ပျံသန်းခဲ့ရုံသာမက သင်ကြားပို့ချမှုအပိုင်းတွင်ပါ အတွေ့အကြုံရှိသူတစ်ဦးဖြစ်ပြီး ၁၉၈၉ ခုနှစ်မှာ မီးပုံးပျံ ပျံသန်းမှုလိုင်စင်ကို သူစတင်ရရှိခဲ့ပါတယ်။ ထို့နောက် ဆယ်စုနှစ်များတစ်လျှောက် သူ၏ ပျံသန်းမှုခရီးစဉ်များကို ဥရောပ၊ ဖီဂျီ၊ ချီလီ၊ ဆိုက်ပရပ်စ်နှင့် မြန်မာနိုင်ငံတို့တွင် ဆက်လက် လုပ်ဆောင်ခဲ့ပါတယ်။

In addition to serving as one of our most experienced pilots, Andy also leads our Maintenance and Engineering Department, playing a vital role in upholding Balloons Over Bagan’s uncompromising standards of safety and operational excellence.

Andy began his ballooning journey in 1986, at the age of 20, with Cameron Balloons in Bristol, UK. Already an experienced glider pilot and instructor, he went on to earn his balloon pilot license in 1989, setting the course for a remarkable international career. Over the decades, his flights have taken him across Europe, Fiji, Chile, Cyprus, and beyond.

In 2002, Andy made the life-changing decision to come to Myanmar, a choice that sparked a deep connection with the country. Captivated by its breathtaking landscapes and the warmth of its people, he has now been flying in Myanmar for 24 years.

With over 4,500 flight hours, including more than 4,300 hours as Pilot-in-Command, Andy’s contribution extends well beyond the skies. His extensive expertise in balloon construction, maintenance, inspection, and engineering continues to strengthen Balloons Over Bagan’s long-standing reputation for safety, reliability, and service excellence.

Andy often refers to Myanmar as his second home, a place defined by its welcoming culture and natural beauty. Today, he continues to divide his time between seasonal balloon operations in Myanmar and other international destinations, remaining deeply committed to the industry he has been part of for more than four decades.

As we mark this Ruby Jubilee milestone, Balloons Over Bagan proudly honors Pilot Andy Davey for his exceptional dedication, leadership, and lasting legacy in the hot air balloon industry.
