• Thousands of years ago, in an Empire named Biekthano, there rules the Queen Pan Htwar. She was a strong spiritual lady of war and fame. She owns a perculiar big drum that flushes the invaders away whenever she beats it. But.. by an imitate monk sent by the Enemy King, her drum was destroyed and her empire was flamed. Her hatred upon the King and the imitate monks, still flows in the veins of Beikthano.
• Beikthano,so called the PanHtwar city, is located in MaGway Region, 320miles far from Yangon. Beikthano is regarded as a World Heritage from UNESCO for the excavations of ancient remains.
• The Beikthano is one of the Pyu Cities and established during 2-5 BC. The city is 450fts above the sea level and Yan Pal creek provides water supply for the city.
• The place was firstly conducted with archaeological works in 1905. The 2 mounds of south of the city was discovered first. Now a total of 66 mounds have been excavated. The shape of the city is said to be rhomboid. The city walls found are made of huge bricks. Many religious architectures, monuments and stupas are seen as an evidence of Buddhist religion. Iron works, coins , earthen potteries and beads found show the presence of high standard society and rich cultural heritage. Even the skeletal remains are excavated. The discoveries of the city are exhibited in Beikthano Museum just right away in the city.
• The unsolved mystery of the Queen Pan Htwar says that the Queen is still walking among the remains of her city. Although there is an absence of Ingyin trees in the area of the city, the scent sometimes even the pedals of the Ingyin flowers still dances with the wind. The Pay Trees await for their queen to be born back into the world without any growth or blossom.
• The residents and archeologists confirmed that visitors must behave well in the city of Beikthano,no rude words nor manners. The spirit of the Queen doesn’t like the visitors eating any meat in the city.
• Beikthano, the PanHtwar city, is a paradise of archeologists and visitors who likes the ancient cultures. It is a place full of mysteries and imaginations, myths and legends, spirits and supernaturals , curses and hatreds.
