The Thadingyut Festival, also known as the Lighting Festival of Myanmar, is held on the full moon day usually falls in October and celebrate across the country.

Buddhists celebrate Thadingyut to welcome the Buddha and his disciples by enlightening and festooning the streets, houses and public buildings with colored electric bulbs or candles.

During Thadingyut Festival, there are a lot of food stalls, which sell a variety Myanmar traditional foods and so many shops on most of the street. Also the kids like to play with firecrackers and fire balloons around in those streets and have fun.โœจ๐ŸŽ‡

One of Myanmarโ€™s most celebrated religious festivals, the ๐๐ก๐š๐ฎ๐ง๐  ๐ƒ๐š๐ฐ ๐” ๐๐š๐ ๐จ๐๐š ๐…๐ž๐ฌ๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐š๐ฅ takes place on ๐ˆ๐ง๐ฅ๐ž ๐‹๐š๐ค๐ž every October, lasting nearly three weeks. During the festival, sacred Buddha images are carried around the lake on a magnificent royal barge, accompanied by traditional boat races, music, dances, and vibrant cultural activities.

Today, we are delighted to recognize ๐–๐š๐ข ๐“๐ก๐ข๐ง๐ณ๐š๐ซ ๐“๐ฎ๐ง, our ๐‘๐ž๐ฌ๐ž๐ซ๐ฏ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐ฌ ๐Œ๐š๐ง๐š๐ ๐ž๐ซ, who first joined ๐Œ๐ฒ๐š๐ง๐ฆ๐š๐ซ ๐’๐ก๐š๐ฅ๐จ๐ฆ in 2013.

During the COVID-19 pandemic and the difficult political situation in Myanmar, Wai Thinzar took time away from work to care for her son and family. We were very happy to welcome her back to the Myanmar Shalom team last year.

Over the years, she has demonstrated dedication, loyalty, professionalism, and attention to detail. She plays an important role in carefully coordinating accommodations and travel arrangements to ensure that every journey runs smoothly for our guests.
