All had served their apprenticeships in the tourism industry since the early 1990s with various international and locally owned tourism enterprises in various capacities: some as operation executives, others as language guides. Now we had all decided to group ourselves into a travel agency to offer our clients the best service and help them enjoy their stay in our Golden Land. Hnin Wit Yee (Lara)

is the Managing Director of GeoDiscover Travel. She had started as an operations staff at Swiftwinds Travels in 1993 and then later moved to Exotissimo Travels, a joint venture between a foreign travel agency and a local counterpart. Her last post at Exotissimo was as Operations Manager, looking after the travel arrangements of international travellers visiting Myanmar. Khin Thuzar Oo had also started as Operations staff at Peacehouse Travels before becoming Manager at Myanmar Orient Pacific Travels. Now she will be joining GeoDiscover Tours as one of its Directors responsible for management of our agency. Wut Hmone Wai was first working in a locally owned pharmaceutical company while also finishing the French language course offered by Alliance Francaise in Yangon. Later she attended the Guide Training Course opened by the Ministry of Hotels & Tourism and started working as both English and French language guide since 2005. She has been an outstanding guide, earning much deserved appreciation from all her clients. She is now also one of our Directors and would be in charge of all your travel arrangements. Moe Sandi is by profession an engineer but with a deep love for tourism. With her knowledge and experience working in various ASEAN countries, she brings to the agency her analytic and well trained mind to make our clients fully enjoy their stay in Myanmar. Her primary duties would be in budget and finance. Also apart from the above persons who will be in charge of the operations of our travel agency, there will be our representatives based abroad to assist in marketing and to make your holidays memorable. Steven and Isabelle will be looking after our Australia and Oceania regions with Simon and Eaindra looking after the Western Europe, Eastern Europe and the Russian markets. Yunn Pyae will be responsible for the Japanese market. Supporting our Team will be Mr. Harry Hpone Thant as Advisor. He has had more than 30 years of experience in the travel business. He had ran a travel agency before being elected and served as Secretary of the Union of Myanmar Travel Association (UMTA) from 2001 until 2009 but still involved in the development of tourism as Senior Advisor to the Myanmar Tourism Federation and Pa O Region Community-based Tourism Project. As Secretary of UMTA he had been involved in responsible tourism development in the Greater Mekong Sub-Region (GMS) and ASEAN region and represented the country at many international forums. He had also been a Visiting Lecturer on Tourism at the National Management College of the Yangon University as well as at the Tourism Training School under the Ministry of Hotels & Tourism. ၁၉၅၀ပြည့်ဝန်းကျင်မှာတရုတ်ပြည်မကြီးမှာမော်စီတုံးဦးဆောင်တဲ့ကွန်မြူနစ်တရုတ်နီတပ်တွေနဲ့ချန်ကေရှိတ်ရဲ့ Nationalist Chinese တရုတ်ဖြူတပ်တွေတိုက်ပွဲတွေဖြစ်ကြတော့အများအခေါ်ကူမင်တန်တပ်လို့ခေါ်တဲ့တရုတ်ဖြူတပ်တွေအရေးနိမ့်ကြတယ်။တရုတ်ပြည်တောင်ပိုင်းကကူမင်တန်တပ်တွေလဲအရေးမလှတော့ရှမ်းပြည်နယ်အ ရှေ့ခြမ်းမြန်မာနယ်စပ်ကဒေသတွေမှာလာအခြေချကြပြန်တယ်။မြန်မာနိင်ငံကလဲဒီလိုမိမိအချုပ်အခြာပိုင်နယ်မြေပေါ်မှာနိင်ငံခြားလက်နက်ကိုင်တပ်တွေလာအခြေချတာကိုလက်မခံခဲ့ဘူး။စစ်ရေးအရရော၊နိင်ငံရေးအရရောဆန်ကျင်ခဲ့ကြတယ်။မြန်မာ့တပ်မတော်ကစစ်ဆင်ရေးကြီးတွေဆင်နွဲခဲ့သလိုကုလသမဂ္ဂမှာလဲတင်ပြခဲ့လို့တရုတ်ဖြူတပ်တွေမြန်မာ့မြေပေါ်ကထွက်ခွာပေးလိုက်ရတယ်။ဒီလိုဆုတ်ခွာသွားတဲ့ကူမင်တန်တပ်တွေကယူနန်အခြေစိုက် 53rd Division ကလို့သိရတယ်။ဒီဆုတ်ပေးလိုက်ရတဲ့တပ်ကစစ်သည်အချို့ကသက်ဆိုင်ရာအစိုးရ တွေရဲ့ညှီနှိုင်းမှုနဲ့ထိုင်ဝမ်ကိုပြန်သွားကြပေမဲ့တချို့ကမပြန်ဘူး။မပြန်တဲ့ကူမင်တန်တပ်တွေကိုတော့ထိုစဉ်ကထိုင်းအစိုးရကသူ့အကျိုးစီးပွားအတွက်ထိုင်း-မြန်မာနယ်စပ်နဲ့ကပ်ရက်က Ban Aw ဆိုတဲ့နေရာမှာနေရာချထားပေးခဲ့တယ်။ဒါကအတိုချုံရေးလိုက်တာပါ။နောက်ပိုင်းမှာ Ban Aw ဆိုတဲ့အမည်ကနေ Ban Rak Thai ဆိုအမည်ပြောင်းလိုက်ကြတယ်။ "ထိုင်းကိုချစ်သောရွာ" လိုအဓိပ္ပါယ်ရတယ်ပြောတာဘဲ။မူလရွာခံတရုတ်ဖြူစစ်သည်ဟောင်းတွေကသူတို့ကိုနေစရာပေးပြီးလုပ်ကိုင်စားသောက်ခွင့်ပါပေးတဲ့ထိုင်းတွေကိုကျေးဇူးတင်ကြောင်းပြသတဲ့အနေနဲ့ရွာအမည်ပါပြောင်းလိုက်တာလို့ပြောတာဘဲ။

အရင်ကတော့ဒီနယ်စပ်ဒေသတွေမှာကအဓိကစိုက်ကြတာကဘိန်းပင်လေ။ဒါပေမဲ့အခုတော့နတ်ရွာစံသွားပြီဖြစ်တဲ့အရင်ထိုင်းဘုရင်ကြီးရဲ့လမ်းညွှန်မှု၊ထိုင်းအစိုးရရဲ့ပံ့ပိုးမှုတို့ကြောင့်ဘိန်းအစားထိုးသီးနှံတွေစိုက်လာကြတယ်။ဒီဒေသထွက် Oolong tea ခေါ်တဲ့လက်ဘက်ခြောက်ဟာနာမည်အလွန်ကြီးပြီးနိင်ငံခြားတောင်တင်ပို့နေရပြီလို့သိရတယ်။နောက်တခုကတိုးဆိုက်တခုအဖြစ်အောင်မြင်လာတယ်။

အထက်မှာပြောခဲ့တဲ့တရုတ်ဖြူကူမင်တန်စစ်သည်တွေနဲ့သူတို့ရဲ့မျိုးဆက်တွေကနေရာသစ်မှာအခြေချခဲ့ကြခဲ့ရပေမဲ့သူတို့ရဲ့ရိုးရာယဉ်ကျေးမှု၊ဓလေ့ထုံးစံတွေကိုမမေ့ခဲ့ကြဘူး။အိမ်ဆောက်ကြတဲ့အခါရှေးရိုးရာတရုတ်အိမ်ပုံစံမျိုးဆောက်ကြတယ်။အိမ်ခေါင်မိုးကအစတရုတ်စတိုင်ဆောက်တယ်။ဒါတွေကခရီးသွားလုပ်ငန်းဖွံ့ဖြိုးလာတဲ့အခါဆွဲဆောင်မှု attraction တမျိုးဖြစ်လာတယ်။oolong tea လက်ဘက်စိုက်ခင်းတွေကလဲဧည့်သည်လာရောက်လေ့လာစဖွယ်နေရာတွေ၊ဓါတ်ပုံဝါသနာအိုးတွေအကြိုက် photo ops နေရာတွေဖြစ်လာတယ်။

အထူးခြားဆုံးကတော့ရွာလယ်မှာရှိတဲ့ရေကန်ကိုခရီးသွားဖွံ့ဖြိုးရေးအတွက်အသုံးချလိုက်တာဘဲ။ very innovative ချီးကျုးရမှာပါ။တရုတ်ရိုးရာဒီဇိုင်းနဲ့လူစီးလှေလေးတွေထွင်လိုက်တယ်။ရှေးခေတ်တရုတ်ပြည်မှာသုံးခဲ့တဲ့လှေပုံစံမျိုးလှေတွေ။ဧည့်သည်တွေကငှားစီးကြတယ်။ညပိုင်းမီးထွန်းချိန်ဆိုရင်လှေတွေပေါ်ကတရုတ်မီးအိမ်တွေထွန်းထားပြီးကန်ရေပြင်မှာတပါတ်ပါတ်စီးလို့ရတယ်။မနက်နေထွက်ခါစဆိုရင်လဲပြင်ပလေကအေး၊ကန်ရေပြင်ကနွေးဆဲဆိုတော့ကန်ရေပြင်ပေါ်မှာအငွေ့လေးတွေထွက်နေချိန်လှေစီးရတာကတိမ်ခိုး၊တိမ်ဆိုင်တွေကြားမှာလွင့်မျောနေသလိုခံစားရတာပေါ့။ကြံကြံဖန်ဖန်ကြုံရတာကကျွန်တော်တို့ညနေပိုင်းငှားစီးတဲ့လှေကလှေသမားကရှမ်းတောင်လဲချားကမြန်မာကောင်လေး။

ကန်စောင်းမှာရှေးတရုတ်ရိုးရာအကျီတွေငှားတဲ့ဆိုင်တွေရှိတယ်။လက်ပွကြီး‌တွေမျိုး။တီဗီမှာပြတဲ့ရှေးခေတ်ဟောင်းတရုတ်ကားတွေထဲကလိုနန်းတွင်းကတရုတ်မှူးကြီး၊မတ်ကြီးတွေဝတ်တဲ့အဝတ်တွေငှားပြီးဓါတ်ပုံရိုက်လို့ရတယ်။တရုတ်နန်းတွင်းသူမင်းသမီးလေးလိုဝတ်ချင်လဲရတယ်။ကျန်ကျောင်းဝတ်စုံလဲရှိတယ်။ကျွန်တော်တောင်ပေါင်ချိန်လိုဝတ်ဓါတ်ပုံရိုက်ခြင်တာအမျိုးသမီးအော်လို့မရိုက်ခဲ့ရဘူး။

ခရီးသွားလောကစကားနဲ့ပြောရရင် intangible cultural heritage ခေါ်မှာပေါ့။ရိုးရာအစားအစာချက်ပြုတ်နည်းကိုပြန်လည်ဖေါ်ထုတ်ထားတယ်။ညပိုင်းမှာစားသောက်ဆိုင်ရောက်တော့ house speciality က pork leg stew with mantou လို့ဆိုင်ကwaiter လေးကပြောတယ်။သူကလဲကျိုင်းတုံဖက်ကရှမ်းဘဲ။မြန်မာလိုပြောတတ်တယ်။ဝက်ခြေထောက်စတူးကိုပေါက်စီပလိန်းနဲ့စားရတာ( ပေါက်စီပလိန်းဆိုတာအသားမပါတာ)။ဝက်သားကြိုက်တဲ့ကျွန်တော်အတွက်တော့ပွဲတော်ဘဲ။ဟဲဟဲ။ဒီလို traditional dish and cuisine ကိုပြန်လည်ဖေါ်ထုတ်တာလဲချီးမွန်းရမှာပါဘဲ။

ကန်ပါတ်လည်ကိုခြေကျင်လျှောက်လို့လဲရပါတယ်။နောက်ကားဘော်ဒီကို modify လုပ်ထားတဲ့ shuttle bus မျိုးလဲရှိတယ်။golf cart လိုမျိုးလဲရှိတယ်။သူကပုဂ္ဂလိကပိုင်ဆိုတော့လမ်းမှာကြုံတဲ့နေရာကလှမ်းတားစီး။ကန်တပါတ်စီးပြီးကျသင့်ငွေချေပေါ့။တနေရာမှာတော့ TAT ရဲ့ information centre ရုံးခန်းတွေ့ခဲ့တယ်။ဝင်တော့မကြည့်ခဲ့ပါဘူး။

တနေရာမှာကျောင်းနေအရွယ်မိန်းကလေးလေးတွေအကနဲ့ဖျော်ဖြေနေလို့ဝင်ကြည့်တော့ရွာကကျောင်းမှာအဆောင်သစ်ဆောက်ဖို့ရံပုံငွေရှာနေကြတာဆိုလို့အလှူပါဝင်ခဲ့ပါသေးတယ်။

မနေ့ကရေးခဲ့သလိုဒီရွာလေးကိုသွားဖို့ကတော့ခရီးနဲနဲပြင်းတယ်။ချင်းမိုင်ကနေကီလိုမီတာ၄၀၀လောက်တညောင်းစီးရမယ်။ကားပေါ်မှာ၈-၉နာရီထိုင်ရမယ်။အကွေ့အကောက်တောင်ဆင်းတောင်တက်ပေါင်း၁၈၆၄ခုရှိတာမို့ကားမူးတတ်သူတွေအတွက်မလွယ်ဘူး။လမ်းမှာမြင်တွေ့ရတဲ့ရှုခင်းတွေ၊တောရိပ်တောင်ရိပ်တွေကတော့သာယာပါတယ်။touristy ဧည့်သည် တွေတော့တော်တော်များတယ်။ဧည့်သည်တွေအကြိုက်ဖန်တည်းထားတာ‌ တွေ artificial တွေ။ authenticity မရှိဘူးလို့ ပြောမယ်ဆိုပြောလို့ရပေမဲ့ဘာဖြစ်ဖြစ်ဗဟုသုတလဲရ။စိတ်ရွှင်လန်းမှုလဲဖြစ်စေတဲ့ခရီးစဉ်လေးမို့သွားသင့်တယ်လို့တိုက်တွန်းပါရစေ။
