Tazaungmone, the 8th month of the Myanmar lunar calendar is a festive month indeed. The city of Taunggyi invites you to its most extravagant celebration of the year- the Hot Air Balloon Festival. The city comes to life as hot air balloons of various shapes and themes compete both day and night in this week-long festival.
