Care for some tips before exploring Myanmar? Here we go!

First of all, people with red teeth are not vampires! Then please don't be shocked thinking that a lot of places here are scattered by blood as if there is a civil war :D All these are because of benal nuts actually. Most of the Myanmar men have the habit of chewing betel nut, some women do as well. Girls with drawings like a leaf or circle or heart shape on their faces are not mad :D. Those are the results of Myanmar Mighty Thanakhar: a traditional natural skincare :)

Taunggyi: Favorite city getaway for the month of November. For more information, please visit our city destination page. And Happy Tazaungdine Festival to you everyone. Lighting and illuminations can be seen in towns and villages. Addition to that, hot air balloon festivals are held in Taunggyi, capital of southern Shan State and recently in Pyin Oo Lwin, a hill-station town near Mandalay. Offering of robes and other gifts to monks can be largely seen in the whole country.

VISAS, PASSEPORTS ET AMBASSADES

Un visa est obligatoire pour se rendre au Myanmar.
La validité des visas touristiques est de 28 jours avec la possibilité de prolonger de 14 jours pour 3 $ par jour (plus des frais d’administration de 3 $). Le Myanmar dispose d’un système d’obtention des visas auprès des ambassades et consulats, ainsi qu’un système d’e-visa (visa en ligne). Une autre option: vous pouvez demander un visa à l'Ambassade du Myanmar à Bangkok. La section des visas est ouverte de 9h à 12h (midi) pour les demandes et de 15h 30 à 16 h 30 pour la collecte. La procédure est simple et le visa est obtenu dans un délai de un à deux jours ouvrables.

A visa is compulsory to visit Myanmar.
Tourist visas are valid for 28 days, which can be extended by a further 14 days at a cost of $3 per day (plus a one-off $3 administration fee). Myanmar has an online e-visa system besides getting visas at embassies and consulates. For e-visa applications, go to

Another option is that you can apply for Myanmar visa at the Myanmar embassy in Bangkok. The visa section is open from 9am to 12 (noon) for applications and 3:30 pm to 4:30pm for collection. The process is straightforward and the visa can be obtained within one or two working days.
