Our neighbours are busy preparing htamanè (ထမနဲ). A labour intensive treat made from sticky rice, coconut slices, peanuts, ginger, sesame seeds, and large amounts of peanut oil.

It is normally prepared during the full moon day of Tabodwe (11th lunar month) and enjoyed at pagoda festivals and street fairs.
