Khin Ba Relic Chamber Cover
The sandstone relic chamber dates back to the 6th Century CE during the Pyu Period in Halin, Myanmar.
The sandstone slab from the 6th Century CE served as the entrance to the inner sanctum of the Khin Ba Stupa which stands as a sacred Buddhist site in the ancient Pyu city of Halin. The five seated Buddhas in meditative alignment, framed by parasol-bearing attendants, reflect the spiritual refinement and sacred symmetry of early Myanmar.
The relic is now displayed at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in Gallery 206 of New York.

Ce couvercle de chambre reliquaire en grès date du Vle siècle de notreère, pendant la période Pyu, dans la ville ancienne de Halin, au Myanmar.
Cette dalle en pierre fermait l'accès au sanctuaire intérieur du stupa de Khin Ba, un haut lieu sacré du bouddhisme. Les cina Bouddhas assis en méditation, entourés de porteurs de parasols, incarnent la finesse spirituelle et la symétrie sacrée des premiers arts birmans.
Aujourd'hui, ce trésor est exposé au Metropolitan Museum of Art à New York, dans la salle 206.
