Our friends at SONNE Social Organization are doing such wonderful and important work on a grassroots level - as here in the flooded areas of eastern Yangon (Dagon Seikkan) yesterday - but even more importantly, providing free education and healthcare for children from this areas, as well as from refugee camps and orphanages.

Every tour you enjoy with us - 10% of the tour price goes directly to projects run by Sonne and other grassroots organizations who we personally know.

End of the road! When exploring some new routes in the Ayerwaddy Delta region recently, a part ofcthe road was missing, which connected the village we were at, to the paved main road around 2 miles away. But we quickly found a friendly boat man, willing to take us and our bikes on a beautiful jungle creek to our desired destination. Definitely never boring when exploring new routes for you!

Brown-headed gulls - closely following the Yangon-Dala ferry, hoping to receive some snacks from the passengers - there’s even specifically bird food being sold on the ferry!

Key tells:
• Chocolate-brown heads (breeding plumage)
• White body with light gray wings
• Distinct black tips on the wings
• Common around rivers and coastal areas in South/Southeast Asia
You’ll often see them flying low over water like this, hunting or following boats.
