Are you an experienced horse rider ready for 1,200 km of fast-paced riding and the adventure of a lifetime!

The Great Nomad Challenge is not your average riding event.

Across 1,200 km, you will ride at a demanding pace through changing terrain, covering long distances day after day. This is not a leisurely trail ride or a holiday on horseback. It requires fitness, preparation, horsemanship, resilience and the ability to care for yourself and your horse throughout the journey.

It’s not just horse riding either, we use yaks, camels and reindeer to complete the journey.

We are looking for bold, adventurous riders to join us in 2027 and 2028 for an unforgettable expedition filled with challenge, discovery, teamwork and the thrill of the unknown.

Expect breathtaking landscapes, demanding riding, unforgettable experiences and plenty of moments that will test your determination in the best possible way. You will need to be comfortable spending long hours in the saddle, riding at speed and adapting to the physical and mental demands of a 1,200 km journey.

It’s never lost on me the incredible privilege it is to see some of the amazing things I have experienced. From riding with eagle hunters, mustering camels, riding across the country and so much more. Mongolia has given me a life that once upon a time in could have only dreamed of.

Look, I'm a competitive person. So when the opportunity comes up to enter an event that involves racing horses and whipping the men, you don't have to ask me twice.

However, for the second year in a row, I have not won. In fact, despite having three separate attempts this year with different partners, I didn't even come close. Nor did I look quite as glamorous as the beautiful Kazakh women taking part. I did, however, have a lot of fun.

Maybe next year, third time lucky. Though I'll have to be a bit better on my horse section, as my mount this year had all the speed of an attacking snail.

Our riders got a chance to take part in this event during a small local eagle hunting festival that is not open to the public. It's small, intimate and gives us a chance to get right amongst the action an experience and privelge that never gets old.

It's one thing to go to a festival; it's quite another to be out riding with them.

The Eagle of hunters of western Mongolia never disappoint. It was such a privilege to ride with these young hunters on our latest expedition. Covering some miles in the mountains and finishing up along this stunning lakeshore.

While we love the festivals, it's only ever a fleeting glimpse of an incredible way of life. For those who can ride a horse, there is no better way to understand and experience the thrill of this way of life than spending a week riding alongside these amazing hunters and their fabulous eagles.

In a world where everything seems to be turning to AI, I somehow got the most computer-generated-looking photo of myself on a camel that is actually completely real.

It looks like I'm sitting on a camel in front of some kind of screensaver image or green screen. However, this is the real thing, and last week I was in fact out in front of a lake on a little cliff top overlooking the desert.

Its been a mixed bag of adventure this year, with Pass of Tears, wild horses, camels in Australia and Mongolia, and so much more. However, I have to say the last fortnight in Mongolia was just the kind of adventure I needed. Incredible in every way possible.

The people I rode with, the scenery, the weather and the horses and camels themselves were all incredible. While I'm still uploading the photos of eagle hunters, horses and more. I couldn't go past these ones at the start and end of the trip on camels.

I'm always such a fan of the humble camel, as well as a big lover of the desert scenery. This time was no different, and I got to ride some really superb, gentle and giant beasts on this trip. A highlight was certainly herding a further 200 camels through the desert. I never feel more like a true cowgirl than when I'm riding a camel and mustering camels at the same time.

We get some of the most amazing guys and gals on our expeditions and our latest one, Ride to the Eagles was no different. What a fantastic group of riders finishing off with an incredible ride through the desert on camels on our way back to the city.
