Why you won’t often see prices listed directly on our social media posts at Great Nomad Expeditions.

Like many small adventure businesses, we’ve found that social media platforms — especially Meta — drastically reduce the reach of posts that look “sales focused” unless you pay to boost them. Unfortunately, that often means posts with direct pricing, wording or links to the website, simply don’t get shown to the people who genuinely follow and engage with our adventures.

We know clicking through to the website is one extra step, and we truly appreciate those of you who take the time to do it. But by keeping our posts focused on storytelling, culture, horses, wilderness and the incredible people we meet along the way, we’re able to keep our reach organic and authentic.

Most importantly, it helps us avoid pouring huge amounts of money into paid advertising and social media boosting — costs that ultimately end up being passed on to guests.
We’d rather invest that money back into the expeditions themselves: supporting local nomadic families, better logistics, storytelling projects, films, horse care and creating truly unforgettable adventures in Mongolia.

So thank you for following along, engaging with our stories and supporting real adventure travel in a world increasingly driven by algorithms.

The world is still wild. The stories are still real. And the horses are still waiting.

One of the first "real adventures" I ever went on was to visit the Duhka people in northern Mongolia.

I was fascinated by the concept of people, riding, training and living high in the mountains with reindeer. I didn't know what to expect, if it was okay to visit, how exactly to get there and many more things.

What I found has always far exceeded my expectations; it was more magical, more welcoming, more beautiful than I could have imagined. The reindeer, which I expected to be like farmed deer here, unpredictable and never to be quite trusted. Were some of the gentlest creatures I've ever met.

I've been visiting this region for 12 years, and it's never lost its magic or its appeal. Still one of the most incredible places on earth, that in a world where AI can make you question what's real, it exceeds anything I could have imagined.

When everything feels like AI, we are still the real deal.

No fakery required. When the scenery is this good and the experience this amazing we don't need a computer to create it. The world's coldest camel expedition is the real deal.

Every year in Mongolia we ride 300km across the Gobi Desert in the hear of winter. One of the most breath taking, surreal, beautiful and unique rides on this planet. All on Mongolia's native bactrian camels. Staying with nomads, embracing the scenery and the culture.

If you love adventure and ore sick of being fed AI generated or overhyped conted. Maybe its time to come experience the real thing....

We might not do AI… but we do make world class documentaries.

Just a sneak peek into some of the footage captured on the Gobi Cold Camel Expedition by Miles For Breakfast Media.

No generated landscapes. No fake snowstorms. No scripted moments.
Just real people, real camels, real cold and one of the harshest and most beautiful environments on earth.

Out there in the Mongolian winter at -40°C, there are no filters, just blissfully long days in the saddle and the silence of the desert under snow. You cannot manufacture the feeling of sharing tea with camel herders after a brutal day crossing the Gobi. You cannot fake the sound of nomadic herds calling out as they walk home through through icy canyons or the comforting look of camp after a day of adventure.

That’s why Mongolia matters. That’s why storytelling matters.

At Great Nomad Expeditions we don’t just run adventures. We document cultures, landscapes and ways of life that still remain deeply connected to nature, hardship and freedom.

And honestly… no AI in the world can replace the feeling of actually being there.
