Kazakhstan in July - climbing up a mountain ☀️ 🇰🇿

The Kazakh horse is a little bit bigger than the Mongolian one, and definitely less wild. The horses we ride belong to three divisions of the national park where we ride through, so they are being used in the daily work by the rangers, patrolling the park and border.

Is there anything better in the world than to be riding in the mountains with your friends and look out at this view..? No, no, not really, according to us. This incredible photo is taken by one of our previous riders, Caitlin from Canada, this past summer in Kazakhstan.

Snippets of how a day could look like at one of our trips - this one is from Zavkhan Province 🥰

Ride all day, explore the land, have a fast gallop here and there and then stroll back in to the chosen campsite of the day. Horses are priority one, always taken care of directly, and our chef is already cooking dinner for the guests. All this while you get yourself a sweater, maybe help chop some wood (these muscles don’t come by themselves..) and then you sit down infront of the fire, maybe with milk tea or, if you rather prefer, a Mongolian beer in hand.

No cell phone coverage - no worries, no roof, no stress - just an open sky above your head and great company.

Good to see lots of smiling faces as our first Mongolian Altai trek of the season returns to Ulaanbaatar. Perhaps it's just the promise of a hot shower and comfortable bed after 2 weeks in the mountains. I'll share some horses and riding photos soon, but really it's all about the people.
