Raising money for Go Help and their ambulance project.

The Mongolia Charity Rally is an epic 10,000 mile pan-continental road trip for charity, leaving on the 11th of July 2015, crossing miles of open countryside, mountain ranges, and deserts - not to mention more barren and inhospitable lands than you’d care to shake a gear stick at! The journey starts in London with its final destination in the ancient Mongol capital of Ulaanbaatar, to support Go He

lp’s flagship ambulance service in Mongolia. As a team we plan to raise money for Go Help, before donating the vehicle to be used as a remote-area ambulance when we finally arrive at the capital. For more details on this, why it is needed, and how you can help us take this mission to a great end, please visit our website http://www.thenextbigadventure.co.uk/

That's it, folks! We made it to Ulaanbatar, Mongolia! In just under 2 months we did roughly 16000km, crossing 19 countries in order to donate our brilliant little van, Pat, to UK registered charity Go Help and their ambulance project. It was a truly amazing experience and we cannot be more grateful for all the support we've had from day 1, for the many things we learned and the great people we've met.
Tomorrow we are doing all the formalities and we are saying goodbye to our dear Pat. We've had a blast!

Blog updates, photos and rally tips coming up soon!

After almost 2 months on the road, we are in Mongolia!!!!!

We picked the middle route and the roads are decent-ish (we only got stuck once, together with one of the ambulances, but the Fellowship joined forces and we got back on the road after 10 min) We should be in Ulaanbaatar in around 5-6 days if nothing goes wrong.

We are very excited about crossing into Mongolia in the next couple of days. Pat has been doing great so far so let's hope the river crossings and the rough terrains won't cause any significant damage. !

Check out our latest blog update before leaving Russia.

We have been in convoy since arriving in Turkmenistan, and our group of 4 cars nicknamed The Fellowship has bonded well.  August 10th marked 1 month since we left England behind to venture on this crazy, amazing trip, and what an incredible anniversary we’ve had!

We are in Barnaul, Russia (country no. 18) and last night we had one of the best nights on the trip: together with other 5 teams, Mongolia Charity Rally and Mongol Rally, we had beers and (too much) vodka to celebrate the good times we've had and the awesome, kind people we've met. We couldn't have asked for better teams to convoy with on this beautiful adventure - thank you, everyone!

Today we are heading towards our final destination, Mongolia, hoping to cross the border on Monday. Wish us luck!

After 3 days driving in our 4 car convoy, we are now in Semey, Kazakhstan. Crossing the border into Russia tomorrow.

We are now in Kochkor, Kyrgyzstan. Last night we camped at Song Kol lake in the northern Naryn Province -- despite the awful (but beautiful) roads and the crazy cold night, everything was perfect! We are all good, healthy (apart from the odd dodgy tummy) and very excited about the last 2 weeks of our mad journey.
