Meet the Mysterious Stone Men of Western Mongolia!
Have you ever seen a stone statue standing silently on the steppe, staring into the vast Mongolian sky?

These are Balbals – ancient stone warriors carved by Turkic nomads over 1,000 years ago. Found across Western Mongolia, especially in Bayan-Ölgii and Uvs provinces, they mark the graves of great leaders and brave warriors.

Each balbal tells a story – some hold cups or swords, others have stern faces carved into granite. Locals say they watch over the land and the spirits of the past.

Join us on a journey through time. Walk among the stone men, feel the silence of the steppe, and discover Mongolia’s ancient warrior soul.
