Chuluut Canyon – Mongolia’s hidden basalt wonder
Nestled in the highlands of Arkhangai, Chuluut Canyon stretches dramatically across the steppe—where ancient volcanic activity shaped this 40-meter-deep gorge. The Chuluut River winds silently below, carving its path between rugged basalt cliffs and forested hills.

The Gobi March (Mongolia) 2025 starts, event takes place in the Karakorum region of Central Mongolia and is a 250-kilometer, 6 stage ultramarathon. Competitors will run through Beautiful Mongolian steppes, sand dunes and rock valleys!
