Our riders often bump into these sacred sites known as "Ovoo". It is basically a stack of stones, usually found on mountaintops, passes, near rivers, and springs. It's a special spot where Mongolians believe supernatural beings reside and a place to connect with them. In a nutshell, Ovoo is like a spiritual hotspot in nature.

A traditional practice associated with the "Ovoo" is the passenger circles it three times in a clockwise direction with each turn donating a small rock as a sign of asking permission to enter and showing respect towards the spirits inhabiting the land. In Mongolian culture, one of the most treasured beliefs is that everything is alive. Mongolians have a deep respect for all living things, teaching their children that just as humans have the right to breathe and live, so do mountains, rivers, animals, and plants. This philosophy is passed down during the "ovoo" ceremonies, where sacred stone heaps are built. Because of its cultural importance, the practice of worshiping ovoo has been recognized by UNESCO as an "Intangible Cultural Heritage in Urgent Need of Protection."

Ийм том ач холбогдолтой учраас Монголчуудын овоо тахих зан үйл нь ЮНЭСКО-д "Яаралтай хамгаалах шаардлагатай соёлын биет бус өв" хэмээн бүртгэгдсэн байдаг.
