In the mountains of Mongolia, the ancient tradition of eagle hunting lives on😮🥰.

After many days of effort, we finally managed to capture on camera the unforgettable moment of an eagle hunter hunting with his trained eagle.

The tradition of hunting with eagles is a living cultural heritage of Kazakh Mongolians today.

HUNTING WITH EAGLES 😊

Kazakhs from the west of Mongolia hunt with eagles. It is a traditional hunting method and dates back many centuries.

When selecting an eagle, hunters mainly choose fully-fledged females. They do not capture flightless chicks. The birds learn quickly and those that have been taught to fly and hunt are relatively docile. Birds whose strength is suitable for hunting do not scream frequently and do not attack domestic animals if released into the wild.

One of the tours offered by Tuul Travel is an Eagle Festival tour which includes a meeting with eagle hunters. We also organise tours to the far west of Mongolia to see the eagles and their Kazakh hunters in their own territory.
