🌿🐎 A little break on the trail… where nature becomes our grocery store.

During a short break on our horseback journey, our travelers stopped to pick and enjoy fresh wild blueberries growing right there in the Taiga. 🫐

Back home, we buy berries from a shop. Here, you simply walk into the forest, pick them with your own hands, and enjoy them fresh from nature. 😋

That’s one of the beautiful things about traveling through the Taiga on horseback.

It’s not only about reaching the destination.

It’s about stopping along the way, picking wild berries, breathing the clean forest air, resting with the horses, and enjoying the little moments that you simply can’t experience on an ordinary tour. 🌲

No shops. No signal. No rush.
Just horses, wild berries, and the endless Taiga. 🐎🌲🇲🇳

🐎🌲 7 Days in the Taiga — Following Horse Trails, Far Beyond the Network

Today, we completed our 7-day horseback adventure through the Taiga and arrived safely in Tsagaannuur soum.

For seven days, we followed narrow horse trails through the forest, crossed wild landscapes, carried our supplies by horseback, and spent our days completely immersed in nature. Some places had no real “road” at all — just a trail through the Taiga. 🐎

This wasn’t simply a horseback riding tour.

It was about disconnecting from everyday life, getting closer to nature, and experiencing Mongolia far beyond the usual tourist routes.

Now, our next stop is Lake Khuvsgul . 🌊
Tomorrow, we’ll spend a quiet day by the lake, resting after our journey through the Taiga.

On August 19, we’ll fly from Murun to Ulaanbaatar, bringing this adventure to an end.

But the Taiga is already calling us back… 🌲🐎

We’ve now ridden deep into the Eastern Taiga of northern Mongolia.

From here, there will be no phone signal for the next 7 days. 📵

No internet.
No messages.
No notifications.

Just horses, forests, rivers, mountains and the people who call this remote wilderness home.

For the next week, we’ll be completely off the grid — following old trails deeper into the Taiga and experiencing Mongolia far beyond the usual tourist routes.

The journey has begun.

Right now, our small group is riding deep into the Eastern Taiga of northern Mongolia — far away from the usual tourist routes, through forests, rivers and vast open landscapes, towards the remote northern frontier of Mongolia.

This is not just a horseback riding tour. It’s a journey into one of the wildest and least-visited parts of Mongolia, where the landscape, people and way of life still feel incredibly authentic.
