Internships in Malta - looking for partner organisations
We have set up an internship program that includes work placement as well cultural experience. Basically students will get to learn how work in done in in enterprises and get a better idea about Malta, a country well known for its fine weather and the place of the world's oldest buildings, the Megalithic Temples.

The work placements are available in the areas of Marketing, Administration, ICT (Software development) and Finance. Being an internship the work placement is unpaid however companies will share good insight knowledge with active student participation.

The cultural experience includes visit to places of interest such as Valletta and Mdina, Malta's capital cities of present and past, the Megalithic Temples, war time places such as guard towers and radar installations and the open markets, a place where you can test your negotiation skills. Visits to traditional tradesman like blacksmiths, glass blowers, lace workers and stone workers are not excluded from our program and for those interested in culinary experiences; Maltese dishes are an explosion of taste and colour to be enjoyed in good company.

About the Company
The company is a leading car hire company in Malta trading under 2 international brands. The company operates one of the largest fleets on the island, over 300 cars during the high season, across 5 locations. Our business is primarily tourism related for the leisure industry with the majority of bookings being received online through a network of travel brokers and agents as well as a number of repeat clients and direct business. The company is also well connected with a number of hotels and other entities on the island.

General Administrative Assistant
The General Administration Assistant (GAA) is the person assisting in all administrative and clerical aspects of the car rental business, within the head office of the company. The duties for which the GAA would be required to fulfil include:

Reservations (Online & Telephone)
• Checking vehicle availability on our rent-a-car management system
• Dealing with Customers and Hotels, quoting rates and taking bookings
• Inputting email and telephone reservations into the system
• Answering quote requests and general reservation requests from potential customers

General Administration
• Processing parking and traffic contraventions, informing and charging customers and other works related to the daily operations of the company
• Filing of Closed Rental Agreements
• Entering rate updates in the system
• Other customer care and general clerical matters that may arise from time to time.

Account data posting
• Checking and posting of expenses and purchase invoices into our accounting system
• Reconciliation of bank account transactions
