Now that the benefits of warm weather training are understood and appreciated by many coaches, Malta is fast becoming a favourite destination for teams preparing for major championships. For many years SPR has been organising youth waterpolo tournaments with the participation of teams from all over Europe while the Gozo – Malta swim held every July has grown into an annual event with participants from all over the world. Waterpolo Camps
SPR is partner in four leading waterpolo camps with some of the top names in World and European waterpolo. Marco Risso is one of the leading coaches in Italy while Olympic gold medallist Tamas Marcz is now also making a name for himself as a top quality coach after a glittering career as a player. The Marcz Waterpolo brand also organises waterpolo camps in conjunction with Nike, the only of their type outside the USA.
