Further to our previous post re Phancon.

We don't have much info as yet, however based on what has happened ever since Phancon moved to Greece, this is what would go on.

We would meet at Athens airport one day before the event and head to Andravida.

Phancon is usually celebrated over two days on-base. We get good ramp access, plus visit to the overhaul shop, engine shop and even the gun shop. Usually food is included in the participation, and is either served on-base, or at the 117 CW's private beach club, which is nearby.

We would then depart back on the following day.

So far, that's what information I have. I've given a rough estimate of the costs for your guidance.

If you are interested in attending, I suggest you join the F-4 Phantom Society beforehand (can assist with that) as it usually takes 1-2 days to get membership processed. I am suggesting this because unlike previous years when 80 people were allowed to attend, this year it is going to be limited to 55, which when you remove 10 committee members, does not leave much. That way, the moment registrations open. we'll be in a position to reserve our place immediately.

Good evening everyone,

We have just been advised that the next Phancon will be held on the week starting May 12th.

Since this might be the final year for Greek Phantoms, and that there will be a very limited number of participants (55), demand will be high.

We are planning a 4-day trip for the event, possibly 5 depending on the availability of flights, for this event. We will be looking at two full days on-base.

Tour price will be in the region of EUR 300-400 + flight , plus the participation fee charged by the organisers, and the membership fee of the F-4 Phantom Society.

If you are interested in attending, please let me know asap, as there are a number of steps which we need to follow.

Switzerland (World Economic Forum) 19-22 Jan 2025 - BOOKINGS OPEN

The World Economic Forum in Davos is an excellent opportunity to capture VIP aircraft, both civil and military, from all over the world.
Our tour will be taking in the action in Zurich, plus two ramp tours at the airport, and a visit to Dubbendorff Aviation Museum.

USA West Coast 3-13 April 2025 - LAST TWO PLACES AVAILABLE

Our tour to the USA will be a mix of civil, military and warbird aviation, with civil spotting at Las Vegas and Los Angeles, the Nellis AViation Nation Airshow, Pima Air and Space Museum, Luke AFB, Davis Monthan AFB MCAS Yuma and NAF El Centro. The programme is still flexible, so we can tailor the programme to everyone's wishes.

Royal International Air Tattoo 15-21 July 2025 - LAST TWO PLACES AVAILABLE
One of our longest-standing tours, the Royal International Air Tattoo is one of Europe's biggest airshows. So far, the main theme is 'Eyes in the Sky', so expect a good mix of reconnaissance and intelligence-gathering aircraft.

Poland - Radom Airshow 27 Aug - 3 Sep 2025 - BOOKINGS OPEN
Always a popular tour, Poland offers great value for money with a good airshow, museums, wrecks and relics and great photographic opportunities. The tour will visit the museums at Krakow, Warsaw and Deblin, each with very unique aircraft collections.
Now that LOT Polish Airlines have announced operations to Malta, we will see whether we can have a better itinerary.

Malta - 24-30 Sep 2025 - BOOKINGS OPEN

For those who would like a more relaxed, but interesting airshow, the Malta International Airshow promises good opportunities, and is usually known for great weather to make the most of it. For those who wish to bring their spouses, we will be offering 3-star or 4-star accommodation, with both hotels having their own swimming pools and well-connected to the public transport network to facilitate sightseeing. Extra days can also be arranged.

Additionally, we can arrange sightseeing flights on modern lightplanes or something more exotic (Tiger Moth or Piper Cub), subject to availability, however we would suggest extending your stay by a few days to make it easier to arrange.

Registrations to attend the Egypt International Airshow have commenced.

We will be co-ordinating the registration applications for anyone interested in attending, against a refundable deposit of EUR 100. This means that, if your registration is not accepted, you will get your deposit back.

Why are we doing this?

Since you will be part of the 'Spotter Magazine team' covering the event, we need to submit a coherent application covering everyone. We need to make sure that the applications we submit are people who are committed to attending the event.

If need be, we will set up a zoom meeting where we can answer all your queries.
