Solara Taxi Stories🚖 – A Voice from the Back Seat
Mauritians are often too stressed. We rush to go to work in the morning, rush the whole day at work, rush back home, and then rush to sleep just so we can rush again the next day.
We worry about the brand of car others drive, the clothes they wear, and the food they eat. We worry about what others will think, say, or do.
One of my passengers shared something beautiful after returning from her holidays in India. She noticed that when people finish work, they go to the beach, they take their time, and they don’t worry about when they have to return. They simply live in the moment.
From this experience, she realised something important: we should not let time or other people’s opinions control our lives. Not everyone has the same tastes, dreams, or way of living and that is perfectly okay.
Advice:
Slow down when you can. Don’t measure your life by other people’s standards or by the clock. Take time to breathe, to enjoy simple moments, and to live in a way that truly makes you happy. Life feels much lighter when you choose peace over pressure.
