The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah will be in Mauritius for an important conference with local Umrah and Hajj travel agencies.

In this regard, our office will be open from 2:00 PM today.

We just learned with great sadness that Qari Faki Ali Noorani has passed away. He was working at Jummah Masjid Port Louis before, and after that he continued serving the masajid and the community.

His voice when reciting the Qur’an during Taraweeh was amazing. Allah ﷻ had blessed him with a very special voice and gift. He also had a great love for Qasida Burdah Shareef, which he recited in most of his mehfils.

His contribution towards teaching and helping many Huffaz in Mauritius will always be remembered. Those who have learned from him will tell you that he was truly a gem.

May Allah ﷻ forgive him, grant him Jannatul Firdaus.

May Allah ﷻ give sabr to his family, followers and especially his students.
