The grey reef shark (Carcharhinus amblyrhynchos) is a species of requiem shark, a species very commonly found throughout Maldives. It is a popular shark for divers to encounter due to its commonality and interesting behavior.
The grey reef shark is listed as “Vulnerable” on the IUCN Red List.
