Heart Breaking 💔

Our hearts are deeply saddened by the tragic loss of five brave Italian divers , Monica Montefalcone, Giorgia Sommacal, Muriel Oddenino, Federico Gualtieri, and Gianluca Benedetti who lost their lives while exploring the underwater caves of Vaavu Atoll, Maldives.

These were passionate, dedicated individuals who gave their lives in pursuit of knowledge and the wonders of the ocean. Monica and her daughter Giorgia, along with their colleagues, represented the very best of scientific curiosity and love for the sea.

We also extend our deepest condolences to the family of Sgt-Major Mohamed Mahudhee, the courageous Maldivian military diver who gave his life trying to bring the others home.

To all the grieving families may you find strength in the memories of your loved ones, and may their passion for the ocean be their lasting legacy.

Our deepest condolences go to the families, friends, and fellow divers of the Italian divers who tragically lost their lives in the Maldives.

In respect to the victims and the ongoing investigation, this is not a moment for speculation, but for reflection. The ocean demands knowledge, discipline, preparation, and respect at every level of diving.

Technical diving is never about ego or pushing limits it is about responsibility, training, and understanding the risks involved.

May this tragedy remind us all that safety, humility, and proper preparation must always come before anything else.
