𝗥𝗮𝘀𝗱𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗔𝘁𝗼𝗹𝗹 𝗨𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 :
Rasdhoo's marine life ticks all the boxes, even for seasoned Maldives divers, offering manta rays, eagle rays, and big stingrays, whitetip, blacktip, and grey reef sharks, Napoleon wrasse, schools of pelagic hunters, and big reef fish. Overhangs and caverns (and currents) make the dives challenging and engaging. The area is not known for colorful corals, though a couple of sites do have notable patches of healthy coral cover.

⛴Many of the dives on the Best of Maldives Classic Route, suitable for all levels of divers, however, unpredictable and strong currents are to be expected in certain areas. Inexperienced and beginner divers may find some dives challenging and may be asked by the Cruise Director to skip dives that are not suitable for their diving experience. On some dives, the recommended depth is below 18m therefore advanced or Deep Diver training is advised.⛴

The Maldives is the smallest country in Asia.
It occupies the southern part of Asia, and it constitutes 26 atolls in the Indian Ocean. Comprising a territory spanning roughly 298 square kilometers. Its area is approximately 116 square miles, while the population is about 515,696. This territory has been subdivided into 21 administrative atolls, each of which is governed by an elected Atoll Council. Its administrative division oversees the activities of the capital Malé. The Maldives prides in a rich marine ecosystem which ranges from the shallow coast, fringing mangroves, deep sea, and reef ecosystems. Also present are 187 species of coral reefs and coral, 21 species of dolphins and whales, 1100 species of fish, 83 species of echinoderms, and 5 species of sea turtle. This ecosystem sustains a vibrant tourism industry.

Did you know?

The British Loyalty, is an oil tanker used to supply Gan, was torpedoed in 1944 by the German submarine U-183. The wreck lies in 33m of water with its port side about 16m below the surface; it has a good covering of soft corals. Turtles, trevally and many reef fish inhabit the encrusted decks, making it a fascinating place to dive.

Did you know?

That all anemonefish, including clownfish, are hermaphrodites. They are all born male, according to National Geographic. They have the ability to turn themselves female, but once the change is made, they can’t go back to being male. Sometimes the change is made when mating. Two males will become mates and the larger, dominant fish will become the female.
