HOOKING IT WAS THE EASY PART… 😳🔥

Adam was exploring the flats when this Giant Triggerfish decided to take the fly.

And then the real work started. 🎣

A hard fight in shallow water, burning arms and no room for mistakes — until Adam finally managed to bring this beautiful Triggerfish in.

And what fooled him?
A little crab imitation. 🦀

Hook removed, a quick moment for the camera… and then straight back where he belongs. 🌊❤️

Sight fishing. One cast. One take. One unforgettable fish.

WHAT A FEW DAYS ON THE FLATS! 🔥🎣
Our Italian fly fishermen had some great fishing around Vaavu Atoll — and the variety was just as good as the action.
GTs, Bluefin Trevally, Yellowspotted Trevally, Emperor and several Triggerfish all found their way to the fly. 🎣
Different fish, different challenges and plenty of opportunities over several successful days on the flats.
Sight fishing in clear, shallow water is what makes this style of fishing so special:
spot the fish, make the cast… and hope everything comes together. 👀

REMEMBER THOSE DOUBLE HOOKUPS? 👀🔥

Well… this was the result.

Jupiter 9 returning to Keyodhoo after a seriously busy day of tuna fishing — with the deck loaded with around 35 tuna. 🐟🔥

Multiple hookups, double hookups, one fish after another… and by the time they reached the harbour, you could see the day written all over the anglers’ faces. 😄

Tired arms. Tackle coming off the boat. A deck full of fish.

That’s what a proper tuna day looks like aboard Jupiter 9. 🎣

These aren’t just fishing trips. They’re the days you talk about long after you’ve gone home.

HOW MANY TUNA CAN THEY LAND?! 😳🔥

Things got busy very quickly aboard Jupiter 9.

One hookup turned into two.
Then another double hookup.
And another…

When the tuna are feeding, there’s no time to stand around. Every angler has a job, every rod matters and the whole boat suddenly turns into organized chaos. 🎣💥

Just Hape making a cast across a completely calm Indian Ocean while the last golden light of the day reflects on the water.

We spend a lot of time talking about GTs, Yellowfin Tuna, big fights and screaming reels.

But this is fishing too.

A rod in your hand. The ocean in front of you. And for a moment, absolutely nothing else matters.

DOUBLE HOOKUP. DOUBLE RUBY. 🔥🔥

When the short deep-jigging window opens, you have to make every minute count.

Hape had the guests right on the spot when the current slowed — and suddenly two rods loaded up at the same time.

The result: two beautiful Ruby Snappers coming up from the deep. 🎣

Just part of a short session that produced four Rubies before the conditions changed again.

Knowing where to fish is one thing.
Knowing when to be there is another. 🎯

RAINY DAY. HUNGRY GTs. 🌧️💥

Not every fishing day in the Maldives comes with blue skies and sunshine.

Today our guest from Japan headed out aboard Jupiter 10 for a day of GT popping.

The weather was wet, the skies were grey — but luckily, the GTs didn’t care. 🔥

Popper after popper went into the water, and several nice Giant Trevally came to the boat throughout the session.

Sometimes a little tropical rain is all part of the adventure. 🌧️🎣

Good fishing doesn’t always need perfect weather.

From BIG Yellowfin to GT Popping. 💥

After their successful offshore trip for big Yellowfin Tuna, it was time for a completely different mission.

This time the guys headed out on Jupiter 10 with one target in mind:

Giant Trevally.

And the GTs played along.

Several fish landed, plenty of action and another successful day on the water.

No two fishing days in the Maldives have to be the same — one day you’re far offshore hunting big Yellowfin, the next you’re casting poppers for GTs around the reefs.
