MALDIVIAN COOKING EXPERIENCE 🧑🍳 �Traditional Evening Tea Short Eats
In this special culinary event, we are preparing three classic Maldivian short eats—the much-loved snacks traditionally enjoyed during evening tea. Guests will have the opportunity to see and experience how these island favorites come together.
1.GULHA�Small, savoury dumplings filled with tuna, finely chopped onions, grated coconut, and chili, often enhanced with turmeric, ginger, lime, and curry leaves.
2.BAJIYA�The Maldivian twist on the samosa—crisp pastry filled with tuna, caramelised onions, curry powder, and fragrant sweet spices.
3.MASROSHI�A traditional stuffed flatbread, similar to roti, filled with smoked tuna, grated coconut, and aromatic spices, then cooked until lightly crisp.
