Should have all listened to Mohamed Nasheed (Anni), the island President of the Maldives a few years ago already… People of the world we should take action ourselves and not let a few elected ignorants (whoever votes for them..it never feels like a democratic decision!) lead our countries and take our decisions!

Will the luxury tourism stay longer in the Maldives than the local Maldivians???

Changing shape of islands is normal with the seasonal monsoon change, but not as fast as it got with climate change and fast growing luxury Holiday Resort construction work in the least years. These factors and ocean acidification are actually leading to the sinking of the islands and is making them uninhabitable because of salinization of the ground water…..

With millions of Dollars in the tourism industry, the luxury Honeymooners, Spas, fresh water pools…!!!, bars and restaurants will probably be able to overstay the local population of the developing low lying island State…

Will the western world welcome more landing boats on their shores by then or refuse them as well after helping to destroy and exploit their country?

Waste management is a huge problem on local islands in the Maldives, something that many people are not aware of. Plastic packaging, particularly bottles, are a large contributor to the solid waste in Maldives, and there are no recycling plants. Today our "voluntourists" are brainstorming ideas of how we can reuse these items to reduce waste. Does anyone else have any ideas???
