Did you know?
Each year, the plains of East Africa host one of the world’s greatest wildlife spectacles: the Great Migration, featuring some 1.4 million wildebeest and hundreds of thousands of zebras and gazelles.
The great migration is primarily driven by the search for food and water, following the seasonal rains in East Africa. As the rains move, so do the wildebeest, seeking fresh, lush grass and reliable water sources. This movement is a continuous, roughly clockwise, circuit between Tanzania's Serengeti and Kenya's Masai Mara and happens usually between May and December.
