A beautiful day at Ak restaurant, (Ak means turtle in Maya.) Simple, healthy food prepared well, a shady deck with a great view of birds and trees, good service, what more could you want? They are in North Akumal on the way to Yalku. To be honest, we were going to go to the Jungle cafe, but once again, they were closed at 12 something, seems impossible to actually go there. But so glad we went to Ak instead.

It seems the weather is a bit better here at La Sirena than in California right now. And check out how I have the whole of Half Moon Bay to myself. It’s not full of people and chairs like the beach at the main bay. ( it would be REALLY hard to have a secret at Secrets.)
