Sea turtles return to San Pancho each year to nest in the warm sand.
After approximately 45 days of incubation, tiny hatchlings emerge and begin their journey to the ocean for the very first time.
This is one of nature’s most special moments — and you’re invited to witness it.
Our releases are made possible by local volunteers and community members who protect nests throughout the season.

To protect the hatchlings:
* Please do not touch the turtles.
Photography is welcome. But no flash, please.
We cannot accommodate commercial tour groups.
Turtle releases are free and open to everyone.
Donations are gratefully accepted.

For people with Mexican cell numbers:

The first enforced deadline for Mexico’s mandatory cell phone registration passed on August 15, and approximately 2.6 million lines with numbers ending in “0” were suspended. The good news: suspended lines have not been canceled, and service can be recovered by completing the registration process now.

As of August 19, just over 2.3 million of those suspended users had already reactivated their service. Another 2.6 million reactivations are expected in the coming days, while the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (CRT) anticipates that around 2.5 million genuinely unused lines will be decommissioned permanently.

How to reactivate a suspended line:

Online: Register through your phone company’s portal by verifying your identity. Links to all providers’ registration platforms are available at registratulinea.crt.gob.mx
In person: Visit a customer service center for your phone company, where staff can assist with the process
The process is free of charge
Mexican residents must provide a CURP and a valid official ID such as an INE voter card. Foreign residents must use the corresponding immigration or identity document, such as a resident visa or passport.

Suspended lines can still make calls to emergency numbers, citizen services, and the phone company, receive earthquake alerts, and be used to complete the registration process itself.

As of August 20, a total of 73.2 million lines — 60.5 percent of all expected active lines in the country — had been registered. The government introduced mandatory registration to eliminate anonymous mobile lines, reduce criminal extortion, and curb the use of untraceable prepaid SIM cards.
