Here is a list of places that offer Covid testing.
It’s been a week since the requirement to have a negative viral COVID-19 test before boarding flights to the U.S. went into effect. As soon as the announcement of this requirement was made the Los Cabos Tourism Board, known as FITURCA for its acronym in Spanish, published a comprehensive COVID Testing FAQ document that addressed most questions and, they and the Los Cabos Hotel Association got to work to ensure that the test requirement would not constitute a big issue for traveler to Los Cabos.
The entire tourism industry in Los Cabos has been working in collaboration with health authorities and the private sector to offer the required tests at the Los Cabos airport and in hotels, as well as dozens of laboratories, hospitals and private clinics. Mauricio Salicrup, President of the Los Cabos Hotel Association, reported that the hotel association worked with all the local hospitals and doctors so that this need for testing was not seen as a business opportunity, but rather as part of the service chain that need to be provided by the destination so that tourism continues to come to Los Cabos. A few months ago we published the prices for PCR testing at some labs and hospitals in La Paz and Los Cabos. We have updated the list, including the labs and clinics that are both, authorized by the State Commission for the Protection Against Sanitary Risks (COEPRIS for its acronym in Spanish) and FITURCA. Interestingly enough the most affordable test are available at the Los Cabos International Airport. Francisco Villaseñor, Los Cabos Airport Director said that passengers showing their boarding pass pay 25 dollars or 450 pesos for an antigen test. Rafael Ochoa, Laboratory Executive from Mexico City representative of Laboratorio Médico Polanco, the lab that is set up at the airport, said that the PCR test for tourists is 1,450 pesos and for locals it is 1,950 pesos (around $80-$110 USD).
