Right place, Right time, Right cast!! (And a solid prayer in the morning!) 💪🔥🔥 Landing one of these guys is usually the fruit of a lot of “Right things” coming together.. From the gear you use, to the way you fight the fish, (especially right at the end in the waves) these bigger fish will put everything to the test when you catch them off the beach! Here’s another shot of the “Last-Cast Rooster” from last week!😁
As is fishing, we were left chasing them this past week… seeing some, hooking and losing one 😭, and other days just searching…Even in the middle of Rooster season no fish is guaranteed..🙌🤷‍♂️

Should rename these things Crocodile Snapper.. Their jaw strength and teeth put the hurt on even some of the toughest stickbaits and poppers.. let alone hooks and split rings! If you know you’re going for them-switch em’ up or you might be sorry!!

2 weeks ago got into a nice Snapper bite! 💪 These are one tricky fish to land in the rocks! Always putting your skill and your gear to the test from start to finish.. Sometimes the greatest accomplishment is just to not lose and break your lures! 😂😂 (I’ve gotten pretty good at that part now) All that’s left is more practice landing the beasts!!💪💪💪🙌🙌😁🔥🔥

I wish Roosters could last longer out of the water! I’m always left wanting to spend more time with them, admiring everything awesome about how they were perfectly created down to the smallest details…
Making sure they live is always the priority.. Surprisingly enough, they don’t have anything sharp on them. No spines top or bottom or teeth. Everything is soft and flexible. They’re most dangerous feature is their brute strength when you get smacked by their tail! 😂😵‍💫

King of the surf! Gallo-Rooster-Unicorn for some, this fish is on so many people’s bucket list..and for very good reason-not only are they one of the most beautiful fish, but the strike and the fight are incredible. I can’t take credit for this fish, but I was able to assist in the landing of his fish caught on light tackle.
nailed some amazing video that I can’t wait to see! and snapped this quick shot!
