These are the moments I’ll remember.
Photos I took while skiing the Giro della Grande Guerra circuit in Dolomiti Superski, shot with my Canon 5D Mark IV and a 24–70mm lens.
One of the most unique ski tours in the world — a full-day circuit around Col di Lana, where the front lines of World War I once ran through these mountains.
Tour stats:
• ~85 km total route
• ~35 km of skiing
• Highest point: ~2,800 m at Lagazuoi
• 6–8 hours to complete the full loop
Along the way you pass the iconic peaks of Marmolada, Cinque Torri, and Tofane, with trenches and tunnels still carved into the rock.
And at the end of the legendary Armentarola run, skiers are pulled across the valley by horses — a tradition that has become part of the tour itself.
History, scale, and some of the most surreal skiing on earth.
