The Van Gough Museum was wonderful! We spent a couple of hours getting to know the tortured soul. I didn’t know or forgot that he didn’t start drawing/painting until he was 27 and died at 37. I was drawn to his paiting of shoes. He bought used shoes and further distressed them by dragging them in mud. He appreciated useful and well-worn items. His Almond Blossom painting was another favorite of mine. He painted as a gift for his newborn nephew/godson and was cherished by the family.

Will you come along with me?

I am headed to Amsterdam for an Ama Waterway River Cruise.

This is my first river cruise and my first visit to Amsterdam. I am so looking forward to seeing the Venice of northern Europe. My daughter is coming along for this adventure. She is looking forward to the visiting the Anne Frank House and trying out the coffee shops.

I have to admit that Amsterdam is pretty low on my list of places I want to see. I won this trip for outstanding sales in my business last year. I have been doing some research about the city and the places we will be stopping, and I am getting increasingly more excited!
