If you look at the history of category 4-5 hurricanes, they tend to happen late August to the last week of October. I personally stay away from the islands during this time, but if you are traveling to the caribbean during hurricane peek season, always make sure you have vacation protection to cancel, travel insurance to cover unexpected situations and emergency funds to pay for extra days or better flights if need be. I pray everyone makes it back home safely from Jamaica.
