Our first full day in Alaska did not disappoint. We started our day with a tour of our hotel (Pike’s Waterfront Lodge) and I was taken aback by the charm and coziness. We then boarded a motor-coach to Riverboat Discovery, where we took a three hour trip down the Chena River.

The tour showcases Alaskan history and culture, including a bush pilot demonstration, a visit to the Trail Breaker Kennel (home of champion sled dogs), and a guided tour of a recreated Athabascan village.

Afterward, we headed down to Denali, where we checked into the Denali Park Village and settled in for the night. I’m pretty sure I was asleep by 8:30pm, as we had an early morning wake up of 4:15am. The sun (midnight sun) during this time of year goes “down” about 11:30pm, which is so cool to experience!

Today, we are exploring Denali National Park and Preserve, before heading by rail to Talkenta. Later this evening, I am partaking in a bucket-list excursion and pray for clear weather 🙏✈️

When a bucket-list trip becomes a reality🥹

Tomorrow, I’m headed to Alaska on a Royal Caribbean Alaska Familiarization LAND tour representing Never Look Back Vacations, and I honestly still can’t believe I get to say that!

This is NOT a cruise; it’s a land tour that can be added before or after an Alaska sailing to help you experience even more of what makes Alaska so incredible beyond the cruise ports.

Over the next several days, I’ll be exploring the hotels, transportation, excursions, dining, and all the little details that help me better guide my clients when planning an Alaska vacation.

And of course… I’ll be sharing a ton along the way, so make sure to follow along in my stories!

P.S If I see a whale, my 1992 Free-Willy Loving Heart will definitely cry!!

It’s crazy to think that one year ago today, I was at the opening festivities for Epic Universe. Being a part of theme park history is definitely a pinch me moment! 🤩

Here are my top 5 favorite things about Epic Universe:

1. Hiccups Wing Glider- This is my new favorite family roller coaster. Similar to Slinky Dog Dash and Seven Dwarves Mine Train
2. The yummy quick-service options! I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food.
3. The storytelling details. I could easily spend half a day slowly meandering through each portal, exploring the small details and being fully immersed in the experience.
4. Meeting Toothless- best meet and greet ever!
5. Epic Universe is such a pretty park, and I can’t wait to see how the beauty grows as the trees and foliage mature.

Celebrating a milestone and sharing some exciting news! 🤩

Five years ago, I walked away from the classroom and took a leap into something completely unknown… building my travel business.

To be honest, I don’t think I could have imagined where this journey would take me.

In many ways, I still feel like a teacher, but just in a different classroom. Instead of lesson plans and essays, I now spend my days helping families create memories, teaching clients the ins and outs of travel, problem-solving, planning, and helping make dream vacations feel stress-free and exciting. I will say that my audience is more engaged in their vacation planning process, than my seniors were with writing a literary analysis- ha!

There were definitely moments that felt scary. Moments where I questioned myself. Moments where entrepreneurship felt really hard. But five years later, I can confidently say this was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.

I’m incredibly thankful for every client who trusted me, every person who referred a friend, every travel partner, and every advisor who has been part of this journey.

I also wouldn’t be here without the unwavering encouragement and support of my parents, Alex, and some of my closest friends… the people who believed in me, cheered me on, listened to the highs and lows, and reminded me to keep going, even when things felt uncertain. I’ll never stop being grateful for that kind of support.

And while I’m proud of how far I’ve come, I’m even more excited for what lays ahead.

Stay tuned because on Friday, I am sharing some VERY exciting news about my next travel destination. This will be a true pinch-me experience and I can’t wait to take you along on the journey! ✈️

For now, cheers to taking a leap, following my heart and never looking back :)

Money saving tip for your next Disney vacation!

If you’re like me, you want to “treat yo self” when you’re visiting any Disney destination. Here’s an easy way to do that!

Beginning a few weeks after you book your trip, try to pick up a $25 Disney gift card every other time you’re at Target/local grocery store. If you can afford a higher amount go for it!

Let’s say that you start doing this when your vacation is 9 months away. If you able to pick up an average of $75 of gift cards a month, you will have $675 set aside for spending money! Before heading on vacation, you can combine all these cards onto one physical card or a digital one!
