Beginning of 2024 I thought it’d be great to go on a trip with dad and take my daughter along. Dad was easy to please. He never said no, so when I asked if he’d like to take a trip with his grand-daughter and I he didn’t hesitate. That trip was everything. Pausing the daily to spend time with these two in a new place was just what I needed. My dad and my daughter have a special bond as he’d been very present all her life. It was cute to see their special bond in a new setting. Queretaro was the city of choice. The history, the architecture, the food, the cleanliness, the people…it was all so comforting. The memories we created….priceless.

Dad passed away a little over a year after this trip unexpectedly. I have many great memories of him and with him, but this trip was another level. It was just us, a gift for my daughter, a gift for him, a gift for me.

I’m sharing this not as a travel planner. I’m sharing this as a daughter who is grateful I took the time to make this happen. It’s a trip I kept putting off. I am glad I made it happen.
