DAY 1:
GUANAJUATO:
On your arrival at the Bus Terminal in Guanajuato you will be greeted by our friendly staff and transferred to your hotel in air-conditioned transportation. After your check-in you will have a free afternoon for sightseeing and preparation for an exciting evening where you will experience a magical walking tour that includes the traditional "Callejoneada", a must-see interactive event you don’t want to miss. Then on with the tour through the old streets, squares and alleys, such as the famous Callejón del Beso, accompanied by the music of the best local street musicians of Guanajuato. As the tour is completed you may return to your hotel or continue the nights festivities in the local Cantina.
DAY 2:
GUANAJUATO (City tour) - CERRO DEL CUBILETE – GUANAJUATO:
In the morning you will enjoy a tour of the main streets of the city of Guanajuato, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and home to the International Cervantino Festival. You will want to include the Museum of the Mummies, the Village of La Valenciana (where the mine of the same name is found and the Temple of San Cayetano), the Ex-Hacienda del Cochero (Museum of the Inquisition), the El Nopal Mine, the Old Residential Zone of Guanajuato, its Panoramic Roads and Underground Streets, the Pipila Monument and the beautiful Historical Center, then Back to the hotel for lunch . In the afternoon travel in style in an airconditioned van to the geographic center of the Mexican Republic, arriving at Cerro del Cubilete, also known as the mountain of Cristo Rey a 65’ tall monumental sculpture that stands high above the city. This is a great place for photo ops, and shopping. Then return to your hotel in Guanajuato and enjoy a free night to explore and discover new adventures in this Romantic town.
DAY 3:
GUANAJUATO –After Breakfast you can look forward to a Tour of some of the most beautiful colonial towns in the country (DOLORES HIDALGO - ATOTONILCO - SAN MIGUEL DE ALLEND) along the "Route of Independence". This road trip also stops in Dolores Hidalgo where you will visit the” House of the Cure” Don Miguel Hidalgo, the Parish (where he gave the cry that marked the beginning of the movement of Independence of Mexico), the Historical Center and the Tomb of José Alfredo Jiménez; Atotonilco and a visit to the Sanctuary of Jesus Nazareno, beautiful for its altarpieces and paintings; San Miguel de Allende, then on to the Parish of San Miguel Arcángel (of neogothic style and symbol of the city), the House of General Ignacio Allende, the Historical Center and the Mirador de San Miguel Allende. Return to your hotel in Guanajuato. After a long day you may stay in or continue the adventure on your own.
DAY 4:
GUANAJUATO
We know that all good things must come to an end so take advantage of this free time to do your last-minute shopping and photo opportunities.
You will have a scheduled departure time to meet your transport back to the Bus Terminal of Guanajuato.
