I've stayed at and eaten my way through A LOT of all-inclusive resorts in the Mexican Caribbean, so when I saw that Forbes named ATELIER Playa Mujeres the Best All-Inclusive Resort in Cancun for Foodies, I had one thought...

YEP! I can absolutely see why!

The food here is consistently delicious, the presentation is beautiful, and there are SO many options to choose from. Whether you're a foodie or just appreciate a really good meal on vacation, ATELIER definitely delivers!

Food is actually one of the things I pay close attention to when visiting resorts because I know how much it can impact someone's vacation.

Now I'm curious... How important is food when you're choosing an all-inclusive resort?

What a few days! Travel Market 2026 was full of learning, new connections, great conversations, and a whole lot of inspiration for what’s next for Wanderlust Journeys!

One of my favorite things about attending events like this is getting out of my usual routine and having the opportunity to focus on my business. Between the breakout sessions, I came away with so many new ideas and things to think about. I’m excited to take what I learned and find ways to continue growing and improving my business.

I also had the chance to meet with several new suppliers, learn about destinations and itineraries I haven’t offered before, and explore even more options for my clients. I spent time catching up with my current supplier partners, too. Building and maintaining those relationships is such an important part of what I do!

But let’s be honest, one of the BEST parts of these events is the people! I loved meeting new travel advisors from all over the country, sharing ideas, swapping stories, and connecting with people who understand this crazy, wonderful industry. And, of course, it was great getting to spend time with friends I’ve made along the way!

We wrapped up the week with a beautiful Gala celebrating the top suppliers and agencies within Nest & Travel Savers. It was a fun evening celebrating the people and partnerships that help make our industry what it is.

I’m heading home with a notebook full of ideas, new relationships, a few new destinations to explore, and plenty of excitement for what’s ahead!

It’s easy to get caught up in the day-to-day of running a business, so having a few days to step back, learn, connect, and get inspired was exactly what I needed.

✨ Day 2 at Travel Market = another full day of learning, connecting & getting inspired!

We started the day with our general session, learning about the latest travel trends and hearing from an incredible keynote speaker, Jason Dorsey. Then it was off to more breakout sessions that left me feeling inspired and excited about growing my business.

The supplier trade show was next, and THIS is where I get really excited! I connected with new suppliers I’d love to work with, which means more destinations and options for my clients, while also catching up with some of my favorite suppliers to see what’s new and what’s coming next.

Then we squeezed in a little pool time… because brainstorming business ideas poolside counts as work. 😉

And of course, since we’re in San Antonio, we HAD to have a little western-themed fun at Starlight & Spurs Night! 🤠

Fun fact: I’ve lived in the South for 17 years and somehow didn’t even own a pair of cowboy boots. 😂 I’m pretty sure I’m officially a Texan now that I have a pair!

Another amazing day in the books, and I’m looking forward to tomorrow!

One more day of learning, making connections and bringing home even more ideas and opportunities for my clients!

Travel Market starts TODAY! ✈️

I’m so excited to spend the next few days learning, connecting, and soaking up as much travel knowledge as possible!

I’ll be sitting in breakout sessions, learning about new destinations and travel experiences, and making new connections with suppliers and industry partners.

One of my favorite parts of being a travel advisor is that there is ALWAYS something new to learn, and I love being able to take what I learn and use it to help my clients plan even better trips. ❤️

So, if you see me sharing all the things over the next few days…now you know why! 😂✈️

A little honesty this morning…

EVERY hotel looks good in the photos online. But we all know what happens when you actually get there. 😂

Sometimes those beautiful photos are from 5 years ago, the “ocean view” is more of a “tiny sliver of ocean if you stand on your tiptoes” situation, or the room that looked perfect online is right next to the pool bar.

And that is exactly why I believe firsthand knowledge matters so much when you’re planning a vacation.

When a client asks me about a resort or hotel, I want to give them more than what they can find on Google.

If I’ve been there myself, I’ll give you my honest opinion. If I haven’t, I’m reaching out to trusted partners and getting the details you actually need to know.

Things like:
👉 Is that upgraded suite really worth the extra money?
👉 Which rooms have the best views?
👉 Which room locations should you avoid if you’re a light sleeper?
👉 Is the spa actually worth booking?
👉 What is the resort REALLY like?

Because your vacation time is valuable, and I don’t want you spending thousands of dollars on a trip based solely on pretty pictures.

No fluff. No sugarcoating. Just honest advice and the information you need to make the best decision for YOUR trip.

‼️ Okay, this is an interesting one!

It’s official. Royal Caribbean Group has purchased a 50% stake in Sandals and Beaches Resorts!

I don’t expect to see a ton of changes right away, but I’m definitely curious to see what this could look like for both brands down the road.

Because there are SO many possibilities here…

🏖️ Could we eventually see Sandals or Beaches day passes offered as Royal Caribbean, Celebrity or Silversea shore excursions when ships visit destinations with one of the resorts?

🏩 Could there eventually be options to book a Sandals or Beaches stay while you’re onboard a cruise?

🛳️ Or maybe special cruise offers for guests who are staying at a Sandals or Beaches resort?

🤔 Or…maybe they keep the two sides completely separate and we don’t see much overlap at all.

Honestly, who knows! I think it’s way too early to know exactly what this will mean, but it definitely has me curious about what could come next.

As someone who books BOTH cruises and Sandals & Beaches all-inclusive resorts, I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on this one!

A family friendly cruise does NOT mean you have to spend every minute eating chicken nuggets and chasing characters. 😂

One of the things I love about Disney Cruise Line is that there is actually plenty of space and time for the adults, too.

There are adults only pool areas, lounges, the spa, and restaurants where you can enjoy some quiet time away from the kids. And if your sailing visits Disney Castaway Cay, you can even spend part of your day at Serenity Bay, the adults only beach.

So yes, Disney cruises can be a great fit for families, but they can also be a really fun option for couples who love Disney and want a little relaxation mixed in.

And for multigenerational families? Even better.

Everyone can enjoy dinner and a show together, then split up for a few hours and do their own thing. The kids can go have their fun, grandparents can relax, and mom and dad can actually sit by the pool with a drink in their hand. 😉

Family time and grownup time can absolutely coexist on the same vacation.

And yes...there will still be chicken nuggets if you want them. No judgment here. 😂🛳️
