Happy World Ocean Day! 🐢💙

There’s something magical about slipping beneath the surface and discovering a whole different world. From colorful tropical fish to graceful sea turtles and vibrant coral reefs, the marine life I experienced in Belize was nothing short of incredible.

Moments like these are a reminder of why protecting our oceans matters. They’re home to some of the most beautiful creatures on Earth and countless unforgettable memories for travelers lucky enough to explore them.

The D family is headed to Walt Disney World Resort for a very special celebration ✨🏰
And yes… this one is my family 🥹💛

We’ll be celebrating our oldest graduating Kindergarten with a magical Disney getaway, and honestly… what better way to celebrate such a big milestone than at Disney?!

The best part? The kids have no idea yet. We’re surprising them with the trip the day after school gets out next year, which is going to make the start of summer even more magical. ✨

We’ll be staying at a resort on the monorail line, which makes getting to Magic Kingdom so easy and convenient for families. Being able to hop right on the monorail is one of the best perks of staying at Disney!

Our trip will include:
🏰 magical days at Magic Kingdom
🚝 easy monorail access to the parks
🍿 favorite Disney snacks and treats
📸 celebrating a huge milestone together
✨ unforgettable family memories

Yesterday I faced my fear of open water and snorkeling.

I have told myself I always need to try something once, so I decided today was the day to snorkel! And wow! I am so grateful that I did! I swam with sharks, sting rays, and we were also able to see a turtle, manatee, barracuda and so many more types of marine life.

Traveling to me is all about experiencing the country and I can see why Belize brings SO many divers and snorkelers to the reef every year.

Belize has the 2nd largest reef in the world, so if you love to dive or snorkel, then this just might be your next trip!

Also, a special shout out to the amazing advisors who helped me get into the water and took videos so that I could have actual proof that I did the dang thing 😂🩷

Today we made our way over to our resort for the next few nights, Reef Haven. This resort is located north of San Pedro in the Ambergris Caye area of Belize.

We took a ferry to San Pedro, and then were carted off to the welcome center for the resort. We then took a 35 minute speed boat ride to the resort. This resort is only accessible by boat, which makes the whole experience even cooler.

On the way there we stopped in “Sting Ray Alley” and were able to see sting rays and sharks!

We received a wonderful welcome upon arrival at the resort. I’m excited to tour more of the resort and take a snorkel excursion tomorrow.
