Two days. TWO DAYS. 🙌
I’m boarding Quantum of the Seas on Monday and I cannot wait to talk about this ship class because Quantum is genuinely different from anything else in the Royal Caribbean fleet.
A few things you’ll only find on Quantum class:
🚁 North Star - a glass capsule that lifts you 300 feet above sea level for a 360-degree view of the ocean. I’m excited, my daughter is slightly terrified.
🪂 RipCord by iFLY - an indoor skydiving simulator. Checking this one off the list too.
🎭 Two70 - a two-story entertainment venue with floor-to-ceiling windows spanning 270 degrees and robotic screens that transform for live performances.
🎳 SeaPlex - the largest indoor activity space at sea, excited to try the bumper cars.

Have you ever tried using your casino offers from one cruise line to get free offers from another cruise line? Here's how to do it. I just did this with MSC and will be sailing MSC World America in Sept with just a $500 deposit that is refunded to me as freeplay onboard.

First, Royal Caribbean and Celebrity won't match offers. So let's just get that out of the way. You can use the site urcomped.com to try to get offers for these two lines.

For the other cruise lines, I've listed how to contact their casino below. For all but MSC, there is a link to fill out a form. MSC you need to email.

St. Thomas beaches are gorgeous, but CROWDED. This is my go to instead.
The Westin St. Thomas day pass through Resort for a Day gives you access to two pools, plenty of chairs, and infinity pool views that stopped me in my tracks. One of my all-time favorite ways to do a port day the right way.

Legend of the Seas July 4 inaugural is on the calendar and I am already in full port day planning mode, which means I’ve been going back through old footage.

This Cinque Terre trip is everything. We did 3 villages in one day straight from the La Spezia port and the whole family loved it. And the best part? You don’t need to book a single excursion. Just the local train from La Spezia Centrale and a few euros for a train pass.

How do you research shore excursions before you book? 🌴
I just posted Part 2 of my cruise planning series and walked through my whole process. I start on the cruise line website to get the lay of the land, then I move to TripAdvisor and GetYourGuide to read reviews from people who’ve actually done it. Then I go to TikTok and YouTube to watch real footage so I know exactly what I’m getting into before I hand over my money.
I’ve changed my mind on excursions more than once after watching someone’s video of it. Sometimes it looks way better than I expected, and sometimes it saves me from a bad decision.
